If this casting is true, it will be interesting to see how this show fares during the fall and into the winter. Since these are not star names and all. I really think they should just close and hit the touring road. I want something new at the Broadway Theatre.
Considering like 3 people have had different stories about the replacements coming from "close connections in the show," I'm gonna wait until an announcement is made.
There is no reason to think someone from the Broadway would have to make less by going out on a SETA contract. It merely estblishes the minimum. I know some leads on SETA Tours who make less than Broadway minimum, but I also know some who made a decent ampunt ABOVE the Broadway minimum. It all depends on the offer and negotiation..

No, they have no current intentions of closing in September. I'm sure the site says only that tickets are now on sake through September 3, which is how almost every show sells its tickets.

Opel will be great! They must be trying to court a name for Cinderella for the fall, as it says Faure will be leading the national tour.
Good to see some solid Broadway talent though!

I wonder if it might close in the fall...you know with the national tour starting and all. (I don't know if any show has its sights set on that theater...but I'm not sure with all the new stuff coming in the fall whether Cinderella can hold on.)
The article says that Cinderella has just released a new block of tickets that run through New Years. They're planning to be around at least through the holidays.

So, guess we know who has close connections, right? :)

I'm not saying this because I'm disappointed that I'm seeing Carly instead of Paige. But, I find it incredibly odd that of all times of the year, there's no stunt casting this summer, where there are the most tourists and school being out.
From what I'm getting, Paige only got Ella because they couldn't find a pop star for Ella. But, couldn't they save Carly and Fran for this summer (I'm getting Carly is leaving because of her music career) and have Paige and Nancy come in Feburary. Besides spring break, what was the point of having Carly and Fran come in a bad time with the snow and stuff? (I might answer my question there ._.)
Seems obvious and a very smart decision to me. They brought Carly and Fran in to get through the winter. Sales are roughest in this winter/ early spring time of year. They counteracted that by bringing in Fran and Carly, who gave them a boost. Very smart. Now that it's summer, they don't need stunt casting as much.
Yep, the last two posts have it exactly right. I believe they will be lookjng for names to take over in the fall, though from what I know, it's not that easy to find stars who are banging down the doors to come in as replacements. So, I guess we'll see.

Is it possible that they're looking to replace Prince Topher with a star name for the summer and they just haven't announced it yet and maybe that's why there's not a star name for Madame or Ella? Just curious.
Well, anyway, Nancy Opel will CERTAINLY get me back to see this! Haven't seen the show since Laura & Santino / Marla, Greg, etc. left the show and I'm now very interested in seeing it again!
Good for Nancy! I guess she will be back on the Broad White way for a while. I see Jackie Hoffman might do ON THE TOWN so Nancy will likely do HONEYMOON IN VEGAS. Broadway is always better when Nancy is "On The Boards!"
They should hire that hunky boy who got kicked off of DANCING WITH THE STARS last night.
I wonder if they could pull a How to Succeed and get Nick Jonas or Darren Criss to come in as Topher. Glee does not return until 2015 so Darren is open for a little bit. Don't know about Nick though.
Criss has said that his voice doesn't isn't suited for very lush, classical sounding scores. Also I'm sure Glee will start filming in the fall.
