NBC will present THE GRINCH musical this December starring Morrison  Dec 10 2020, 03:29:52 PM

I enjoyed the scenes with the Whos but the rest was just not good. Denis seemed half interested for the most part, BooBoo was game tho. The weakest link was the title character.
Morrison was horribly miscast. He's a very capable triple threat performer and I've had a crush on him since I was a kid and saw him in 'Hairspray' but he was totally wrong for the part. He seemed like he had cramps most of the show, only seemed to get better in the last 20 minutes or so. this wou

Thanksgiving Day g vv ..mm v2020 - Broadway Plans  Nov 26 2020, 08:02:38 PM

Kept waiting for Darlene Love and she was only on for like a minute. Lol. Then that announcer talked over her and Patti LaBelle when they were still singing. I guess they were only meant to be Segway segments to commercial or something. They deserved better. IMO.  Glad Dolly got proper time

The Sanderson Sisters Break the Internet  Nov 2 2020, 12:07:36 PM
This was great! However nobody beats the OGs Bette, Sarah and Kathy. And seeing those three come back together to sing for Bette midler's fundraiser streamed Friday night was everything. They still got it after all these years!!

So, you think Broadway will re-open in March 2021? Sooner? Later?  Oct 7 2020, 08:38:45 PM

In response to when I think Broadway will reopen, I normally quote Madeline Khan in 'Mixed Nuts': "well I will be at your house sometime before next christmas, but that's all I have to say"

Looks like the old Times Square is rapidly disappearing. Nothing more now than a race to see what comes down next. Sadly Thanksgiving parade cancelled. 2World wars could not do it but the ruling gang in Albany and NYC governments were successful. Christmas this year should be a barrel of laughs. New Years will be a somber event.

Not looking forward to 2021.

RIP Diana Rigg  Sep 10 2020, 03:04:10 PM

one of my ALL TIME favorite lines in movie history was said by Dame Rigg in 'The Great Muppet Caper'

Miss Piggy : [Lady Holiday has just given Miss Piggy the entire backstory for the movie] Why are you telling me all this?

Lady Holiday : It's plot exposition. It has to go somewhere.

She was an incredibly talented and kind performer. I got to meet her after seeing MY FAIR LADY and she couldn't have been cooler, I l cherish our picture we took together :

Dear Evan Hansen movie?  Sep 2 2020, 10:29:46 PM

Is he a little old to play it convincingly? Yes, absolutely. However makeup does wonders. There was no way the producers were going to deny Platt the chance to get that EGOT title. It's one thing to play younger on stage, then to have the camera up close and all up in your face in HD, on the big screen like it will be on film. I would have much preferred a younger, undiscovered performer, but this is the casting we all knew was inevitable.
While think Platt is a overhyped performer,
