So here in KC MO, starlight theater has announced that the US tour of hello Dolly is coming here at the end of September. However I don't see any dates listed on the official site for the tour pass August. I was curious if anyone knows how long Betty Buckley is contracted to be with the tour? I thought about tweeting her but thought it would be a long shot that she would respond, and a lot of people on the board here really seem to have a lot of knowledge on the goings ons in the industry

Ugh I used to be such a Madonna stan for 15 years and now my memory/expertise has dwindled). But she did license some of her greatest hits to "Glee" for their all-Madonna episode
I hope that a lot of the dear Evan Hansen fans realize that he's doing his new music and not expecting him to be seeing a lot from dear Evan Hansen. I've been to a lot of Broadway people's concerts and the audiences around me were complaining because they didn't sing songs from the shows they were known from and instead were singing new music. LOL I mean I guess if you have that much money to throw around why not do the meet-and-greet- it's probably a more personal ex

You know, I was thinking Queen Latifah would be a great Rose."

I wish I could find the interview that Patti LaBelle did talking about her Hercules audition. It was really funny because she said that she went in and did what she thought was a amazing audition and then said "I went home and heard nothing, baby!" Lolz

They trimmed 'Hairspray' of 'Cooties', 'Miss Baltimore Crabs', 'Velma's Revenge' and alot of dialogue. I remember it so vividly because it rendered Velma basically pointless in character.

The camera work is wrong. Blah blah blah. RENT Live and its ratings are proof: No likes them or wants them. And NBC is getting the message."
Umm, that's not my truth, so please don't speak for me with saying "nobody wants live musicals . Period". I want G

^yeah, 'today for you' is an entirely different performance. I'm one of the recorded it in the studio and then added the audience track afterwards? Kind of like a laugh track in old TV shows. IDK. But I will say the sound of the vocals and the band sound so Crystal clear here compared to that abysmal balance that the dress rehearsal had, it makes me suspicious. Not saying that all of it is studio recording, but some are.

I also don't know what people are finding so egregiously bad about what we were shown, nor am I quite sure I * want * to know.
I'd rather enjoy what we got

I remember seeing HAIR at the Hollywood bowl. There it wasn't darkly lit because it's open air. I still remember vividly what Constantine Rousouli looks like naked and I cherish that memory. HAHA
Tyler Perry plays and the stage door Jan 28

So I was curious if anybody has ever stays door a Tyler Perry play? I remember many years ago that Tyler said he had to stop his actors from doing the stage door because they were giving out their hotel room numbers and stuff to people. But was wondering if that is still the case. I'm asking because I'm hoping to catch his Madea farewell show in St Louis and would love the chance to meet Tamela Mann or David Mann. Has anyone ever attempted to stagedoor one of his Madea plays or just one of his p

By the love - love the set! Very cool. Ensemble is great. Mark, Roger, and Tom Collins all doing well. We'll see how Maureen does,"
