Hi! It's Makalah here back with another blog post, but this one is a little different than the others. I have been doing a bit of reflecting over the past few weeks. Time is going by incredibly fast and in 6 weeks I would have completed my undergraduate degree at Nazareth College. Scary right? With time comes change and new experiences. Although I'm very excited for what the future has in store for me, I'm equally as anxious and nervous. Being someone whose constantly busy, always on the go, I've decided to slow down these past few weeks. Really enjoy the last 6 weeks I have as a college student before I truly become an 'Adult'.
It's almost that time... midterms. Not as bad as finals week, but it still brings on plenty of stress. This is when I try to sit down and study and work on my midterm projects. However, sometimes you just need a break from it all. So here are my tips for making it through Midterm week.
With college graduation a mere 3 months away, I've never felt more panicked in my life. There's this overwhelming feeling of what do I do, what's next, where do I go from here, that college graduates often face. Recently what has helped me, and sort of self-soothed me has been tick, tick... BOOM!
Check out 10 of Makalah's Musical Theatre Must-have's in your workout/game day playlist!I listen to all genres under the sun: rap, pop, musical theatre, country, pretty much anything that pricks up my ears. Which is why, you'll find a really big mix of genres in my game day playlist. As a lover of musical theatre, cast recordings have slowly but surely found their way into my game day playlist. That being said here are 10 musical theatre songs that are currently in my game day playlist, that I think you should add to yours, in no particular order.
It's Friday, I'm in my seat, and I'm waiting for the show to begin. I'm ashamed to say that I had never seen Pippin, or listened to any of the music. So I was going in blind. But I was kinda glad that I did. Being able to experience the story of this boy named Pippin, who is looking for something extraordinary, and going on this journey of self discovery was amazing.
Visiting the African American Museum was a wonderful experience. I had been in the past, but wasn't able to see all of the exhibits. One of my favorite exhibits was the 'Taking the Stage' exhibit. I had the most amazing time on this trip, not only because I was able to see my sister, but also because I was able to learn more about my peoples histories and have a fun time while doing it
