The team behind one of Washington DC’s premiere festivals, Broccoli City, has announced their partnership with DC-based cultural platform, Adobo DMV. Together, they have announced the inaugural “Tamarindo Festival” in partnership with Live Nation Urban. The one-day Latin festival will take place at RFK Stadium Festival Grounds in Washington, DC.

UK indie duo CHAMPS, comprised of brothers Michael and David Champion, share the next single from their forthcoming fourth studio album Ride The Morning Glass. “What Heaven Is Looking For,” joins previously released singles “Adeleine,” “My Baby Lorraine,” and  “All The Wrong Places.”

Michael Goldwasser, producer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist of the band says, “This has been my favorite tune on the Bowie album since I first started listening as a teenager. In light of that, it’s interesting that it’s the song that I changed most radically by simplifying the chord progression and pedaling on one bass line for the entire track.'

A preview of the 8-song, Scott Evans (Thrice, Samiam) produced collection arrives with the release of “Firebird,” a track Yvette says she hopes will take listeners on a “total melodic joyride.” A Tom Flynn-directed video debuted this morning, with the clip reflecting the origin of the song. Devon Church has shared a new single, “Flash Of Lightning In A Clear Blue Sky,” off his new Strange Strangers. In stark contrast to the earthy folk of lead single “Ephemera”, this latest offering features arpeggiated synthesizers set against acoustic strums - a widescreen, Lynchian take on baroque pop that recalls Church’s endeavor Exitmusic.

Tying together a lifelong love of Brian Wilson and Elliott Smith, an affection for aughts indie units like Grizzly Bear and Bon Iver, and years of experience as a horn player, improviser, and arranger, Sifting Through The Goo, Reaching For The Candlelight is a sonic stew of finger-picked guitar, shimmering synths, vocal harmony and bold brass.

“It All Comes Back” follows previously released singles “Rushin’ River Valley” and “Waking Up in Los Angeles” from A River Running to Your Heart, providing a diverse feel for what to expect from the full album. The newly launched song is psychedelic and spacey, with an in-the-pocket backbeat, droning keys and Eric D. Johnson’s signature work.

Across the project’s six songs produced by Chris Robinson, the album is the literal culmination of Tibbals’ life so far as he makes the transition from being a teenager to taking the next steps into life as a young adult. The result is bold and full of twists, brimming with hooks, and a sound that is utterly timeless.

Following the release of her new album, P!NK has added new dates to The TRUSTFALL Tour. Additional concerts include second nights in San Fransisco, CA; Tacoma, WA; Vancouver, BC; Kansas City, MO; Montreal, QC; New York, NY; and Orlando, FL. The 23-city tour stops at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Olivia Newton-John’s “Hopelessly Devoted to You” is re-imagined with a Motown groove. Mother Mother’s stomp-rocker “Wrecking Ball” is reconstructed to sound like a Saturday Night at the Roller Rink and Beach Bunny’s “Oxygen” has become a symphonic daydream.

The signing reunites Paisley with UMGN Chairman and CEO Mike Dungan and President Cindy Mabe. Dungan was instrumental in signing Paisley to his first deal at Arista, and Mabe served as Paisley’s marketing point person through many of his early album cycles including his breakthrough projects, Mud on the Tires and Time Well Wasted.

Murray A. Lightburn, the longtime frontman of Montreal’s acclaimed The Dears, returned last month to announce his latest solo album, the deeply personal Once Upon A Time In Montreal, arriving via Dangerbird Records. Murray has shared the title-track single, along with a video created  by the production team at 4-VU.
