Idina Menzel is getting 'Dramatic' with her new album! BroadwayWorld sat down with Menzel to discuss giving back to the LGBTQIA+ community through the new album, feeling less apologetic with her music, and her upcoming 'unconventional' musical, Redwood.

Horan shared the official video for the album’s title track. Directed by Connor Brashier (Kygo, Shawn Mendes), the video was shot at the Downtown Palace, a downtown Los Angeles theatre that dates back to the vaudeville era. As a crew rushes around preparing for the evening’s concert, Horan performs “The Show,” accompanying himself on piano.

The album title is an astrology reference “signifying deep change, intergenerational themes, and big life thresholds,” and was co-produced by Carmen Elle (DIANA) and engineered by Steve Chahley (Neko Case, Nelly Furtado, Wu-Tang Clan).

The new EP from breakout artist Sarah Kinsley—Ascension—is out now, her debut with Verve Forecast and Decca UK. Kinsley recently embarked on a series of North American tour dates, which saw sold out shows in Toronto, Montreal and Philadelphia. The whirlwind of limited and intimate dates closes with a spot performing at NYC’s Governors Ball.

Produced by GRAMMY Award-winning producer Dave Cobb (Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell) and recorded at Cobb’s studio in Savannah, GA, 1988 is named for the year McKenna married her husband, Gene, and serves as a love letter to her family and lifelong friendships. The album includes a songwriting collaboration with her son, Chris (“Happy Children”).

Layering delicate vocals over light acoustic guitar, the achingly dreamy new ballad dives into the all-too-common relationship where one person rationalizes poor treatment. Reneé Rapp has released the title track from her upcoming debut album, 'Snow Angel.' Rapp announced the new album earlier this week, revealing that she wrote and recorded the new music while filming the upcoming Mean Girls movie musical. She will reprise her Broadway role as Regina George in the new movie.

Written by New Rules, Sam Klempner, and Jamie Squire (of The 1975), the reflective track laments the friendship lost after a romantic relationship ends (“How come it’s so easy to go from friends to lovers / but not lovers to friends?”). “Old Days” arrives alongside an official lyric video, which is streaming now.

“WET WHITE TEE SHIRT” (A SIDE), co-written with Justin Tranter (Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Måneskin) and produced by Max Martin collaborators Rami Yacoub and Sly, is a steamy song soundtracked by a booming bass that begs to be blasted at full volume. The track would fit in just as seamlessly bumping through a packed club in 1993 as it does in 2023.

The 12-track album showcases a mix of songs in English and Italian, with writing and production from Ed & Matthew Sheeran, PARISI (Ed Sheeran, Fred Again), Jesse Shatkin (Miley Cyrus, Sia, Kelly Clarkson) and Stuart Crichton (Kesha, Backstreet Boys, Louis Tomlinson), and more. Bocelli has also unveiled “For You,” the album’s first single.

“Pretend” was written by Caillat alongside Grammy-winning, Hall of Fame songwriter Liz Rose and 7X chart-topping songwriter AJ Pruis. A common theme found throughout the album, “Pretend” laments on the ending of past relationship but aims to focus on the happy times rather than succumbing to feelings of sadness and regret.

Released by Capitol Records, the single was produced by ILYA for MXM Productions, Cirkut, Omer Fedi, Ryan Tedder, Jimmy Napes, Sam and Lauren D’elia, Madonna’s vocal producer and engineer. With their fifth GRAMMY Award in hand, Sam headed into a Los Angeles studio with Madonna to record a fierce, unapologetic duet: “VULGAR.”
