Looking For Alaska, a new eight-part limited series based on John Green's award-winning coming of age novel of the same name, will debut exclusively on BBC Three in the UK.

Paramount Network today launched its first original digital series, On Location, hosted by Josh Horowitz. Each episode includes Horowitz interviewing a filmmaker or actor of note - including Michael Mann, Zooey Deschanel, M. Night Shyamalan, Kevin Smith, Lance Reddick and Robert Patrick - at a memorable filming location from their iconic movies. The first episode is now available on Paramount Network's YouTube Channel with Lance Reddick walking the streets of Manhattan where he filmed his memorable scenes in the John Wick movies. Content from the series will also appear on Paramount Network's Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts.

NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt is the #1 most-watched evening newscast in September and continues to widen its demo lead over ABC, according to Nielsen Media Research. Nightly News wins its fifth straight September in the key demo and posts its biggest A25-54 demo advantage over ABC in eleven months and its best A18-49 demo lead over them in seven months. Nightly News also wins the week of Sept. 23 with its best weekly A25-54 demo streak in 40 weeks.

NBC News' TODAY was the number-one morning show for the month of September, topping ABC's “Good Morning America” in the key A25-54 demo. TODAY has now won the key demo for 49 straight months (194 out of the 196 weeks). Additionally, TODAY posted the largest total viewer gains of the morning shows month over month. TODAY also won in the demo for the week of September 23, tripling its lead over GMA versus the prior week.

Game Show Network has greenlit GET A CLUE, its new word-guessing game show hosted by actor Rob Belushi (“How I Met Your Mother”). The new half-hour series will premiere in early 2020 and will air Monday through Friday.

Shadow and Bone, a Netflix production based on Leigh Bardugo's Shadow and Bone and Six of Crow novels, has set its cast as production begins in Budapest.

Netflix has ordered The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show, sketch comedy series from Iliza Shlesinger. The six-episode half-hour series will shoot in New York this fall and launch in 2020.

The Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency Ltd. (CMRRA), a SoundExchange company, announced today that Paul Shaver has been named President. Shaver previously served as Vice President at Nielsen Entertainment Canada, where he was instrumental in the launch of the Music Connect platform in Canada that provides improved data transparency to publishers and the music industry at large.  He also more than doubled the number of monitored radio stations so publishers and rights organizations would have 24/7 airplay monitoring.  Shaver's appointment reflects a focus on refining and expanding the services CMRRA provides the publishing community.
