HGTV has given the production greenlight to new event series Home Town Rescue (wt), starring Ben and Erin Napier who will take on their biggest project yet - an entire town in need of a renovation. The Napiers will mobilize members of one community to renovate multiple individual homes in the town and upgrade public spaces, such as parks, local diners and/or recreational centers. The husband and wife duo, who currently star in the network's hit series, Home Town, helped rebuild their own neck of the woods in Laurel, Mississippi - inspiring the population to transform the town's empty storefronts and houses that were in disrepair into a thriving destination for tourists and locals alike.

Disney Media Networks is participating in the World's Ultimate Toy Drive campaign to benefit the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots Program and help bring joy to less fortunate children throughout the U.S. this holiday season. The campaign runs through Dec. 15, 2019, with various activations from across the company to inspire kids and families to join in the season of giving by giving back to those who need it most. 

Cinema Guild announced today the acquisition of all U.S. distribution rights for Eric Baudelaire's Un Film Dramatique. The film had its international premiere at the Locarno Film Festival in August before playing the Toronto International Film Festival and New York Film Festival this fall. In October, Baudelaire was announced as the winner of the Prix Marcel Duchamp, France's biggest art prize. Cinema Guild will open the film in U.S. theaters in 2020.

Freeform has announced the cast for “Last Summer,” its pilot from eOne and executive produced by Bert V. The Los Angeles based alt-indie band Run River North will kick off the new year with a US tour, starting locally in Santa Ana, CA (Constellation Room on January 14), and taking them full circle to close the run in Los Angeles at The Lodge Room on February 22.  The tour is to support the recently released EP Monsters Calling Home, Vol. 2, which includes their biggest, boldest, best song to date, “Wake Up.”
