Josh Sharpe is the Entertainment Editor for BroadwayWorld. For as long as he can remember, he has been in love with movies and the people who make them. This passion for great storytelling has been the driving force of his career journey.
An entertainment journalist since 2018, he has extensively covered the film and television industry, with bylines in Paste Magazine, TheaterMania, Collider, and The DisInsider. Across these platforms, he has produced numerous interviews, reviews, and news pieces, with a particular emphasis on The Walt Disney Company. During this time, he has had the privilege of interviewing such creatives as Hayley Mills, Jodi Benson, and Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman.
A graduate of Western Washington University, he studied Theatre and has since dabbled in directing. He has also appeared onstage in musicals like Into the Woods as The Baker and The Fantasticks as Matt.

Cage The Elephant, the GRAMMY® Award-winning rock band has announced an intimate show at LA’s Echoplex on May 7th. Fans can now request up to two tickets for the Cage The Elephant show in LA HERE. Requests must be submitted by Tuesday, April 30 at 10 PM PT and do not guarantee tickets. Ticket confirmations will be sent out by the evening of Friday, May 3.
In Knuckles, Knuckles himself is introduced to ‘earth music’ through Wade Whipples’ ‘Wadejammerz’ mixed CDs. The Knuckles main title sequence is a nod to this memorable introduction and a nostalgic 90’s throwback, featuring markered animations of the film’s main characters which jump across the labels of the mixed CDs. The credits roll across the CDs as we flip through the CD case to the tune of “The Warrior” by Scandal featuring Patty Smyth. Watch the video!

Singer, songwriter, and memoirist, Zoe FitzGerald Carter, will release her newest LP, Before the Machine, on June 7, 2024. Featuring nine original Americana songs tinged in folk, jazz, blues, and rock, the album was produced by Jeffrey Wood, mixed by Alberto Hernandez, mastered by Ken Lee, and recorded at Opus Studio and Alberto Hernandez Audio, in the singer’s hometown of Berkeley, California. Skating Polly is thrilled to hit the road for a headline tour in support of their double album Chaos County Line. Produced by longtime collaborator Brad Wood (Liz Phair, Jesus Lizard, Veruca Salt), the LP followed 2018’s critically acclaimed The Make It All Show, features a guest appearance by David Yow (Jesus Lizard, Flipper), and was Skating Polly’s first album in five years. On the track, The Chainsmokers set the tempo with a breezy beat accented by earthy keys and slick cymbals, and Fridayy’s vocals melt into the icy bounce as he sings, “There’s nothing that’s stopping us, Is this like we’re young in love, Don’t care if we crash, Having the time of your life.” The song arrives nearly a decade after The Chainsmokers released their song “Roses” ft.
