Oskar Eustis Set to Direct 'COMPULSION' for Yale Rep

Variety reports that the Public Theater's Oskar Eustis will direct the world premiere of Rinne Groff's "Compulsion" next season at New Haven's Yale Repertory Theater.

The co-production runs there Feb. 5-27 before moving onto the Berkeley Repertory Theater and New York City's Public Theater. According to the paper the new work by the author of "The Ruby Sunrise" deals with a man's passion to bring Anne Frank's story to an American audience.

Also featured in the 2009-10 season at Yale Rep is a new play by Danai Gurira ("In the Continuum"), "Eclipsed," about women living through Liberia's vicious civil war. Liesl Tommy directs the production, playing Oct. 23-Nov. 14. reports Variety. To read the full article click here.
