BWW Previews: ANNIE at Nöjesteatern, Malmö

The Musical Annie will open the 30th of November at Nöjesteatern in Malmö

The musical Annie is premiered on November 30, 2018 at the Nöjesteatern in Malmö. This classical musical will captures the whole family, with beautiful music, colorful dance scenes and a moving story.

Director is Eva Rydberg, who in 2005 herself did the role of Miss Hannigan on the same scene. In 2018, Nanne Grönvall will be shaping the role of Miss Hannigan. Thomas Järvheden plays Mr. Warbucks and on stage we will meet a large ensemble and a happy gang of orphan children who will entertain with the dog Sandy.

Musical Annie, from 1977, has been interpreted in most films and on scenes around the world. The musical is based on the cartoon series Little Orphan Annie and contains all elements that make up a successful music; good music, joy, dance and some tears.

Producer Julius Malmström looks forward to the musical at Nöjesteatern in Malmö with many children on stage. "The children give so much joy, they are genuine and enthusiastic and add so much to a musical production," Julius tells, along with a fantastic ensemble and director, I look forward to this year's great musical in Malmö! "

Action: In the 30's New York we meet orphan Annie who sadly wondered where her parents are and tomorrow will be a better day. The slightly alcoholic Miss Hannigan, who is not particularly fond of children, runs the children's home with iron hand and Annie takes every opportunity to accommodate. One day, Annie gets home to billionaire Mr. Warbucks. Together, they are delighted and Mr. Warbucks wants to adopt her, but Annie has not given up the hope that one day will be reunited with her parents.

Annie is played Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays with opening night 30th of November, 2018 and will be played until February 24, 2019, after that it will be moved to Gothenburg and open at Lorensbergsteatern on Friday, March 1, 2019.
