Teatro Paraguas Presents THE BOOK OF MAGDELENE

Teatro Paraguas will present a video performance of The Book of Magdalene, a play by Caridad Svich for two in-person screenings at Teatro Paraguas.  The play, filmed in Teatro Paraguas in June and directed by Juliet Salazar, features Alix Hudson as Magdalene, a young woman in a twilight— possibly apocalyptic— world.

Charles Lear Will Perform a One-Man RICHARD III at International Shakespeare Center

This production of Richard III as a one-man show was born out of a desire to present the show in a way that was Covid safe. It was performed last October at the rodeo grounds in Magdalena and was well received. It is an abbreviated version of the play as all scenes where Richard does not appear have been cut.

Kell was active in the 1960's San Francisco North Beach beat poetry scene, and the poetry and music scene in Albuquerque and Placitas in the 1970's. For years he published Desperado, a poetry anthology. In 1997 he moved into a small cabin south of Santa Fe on a friend's property where he lived for thirteen years until his death in 2011.
