Accompanied by a live Chinese orchestra, the group features highly skilled jugglers, contortionists, and gymnasts for an afternoon of thrills and wonder. The internationally renowned troupe will be at Popejoy Hall on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 3 p.m.Chinese acrobatic traditions can be traced back over 2000 years. Students from Academy of Technology and the Classics, Capital High, Monte del Sol Charter, New Mexico School for the Arts, Santa Fe High, Santa Fe Indian School, and Santa Fe Prep have been brushing up their Shakespeare since September. With workshops from Stage Fight Director Ambrose Ferber and Stratford Festival's Edward Daranyi, these young Shakespeareans are ready to strut some serious classical theater. (more...)

Compan a Chuscales and Mina Fajardo will present a Christmas flamenco extravaganza entitled The Little Match Girl, based on the short story by Hans Christian Anderson, at Teatro Paraguas for four performances December 20-23. Renowned guitarrist Chuscales and choreographer Mina Fajardo lead a company of musicians, actors and dancers in a fabulous flamenco interpretation of the cherished story. The company features Monze Diaz as a solo dancer, Amanda Cocker as dancer and narrator, singer Nicolasa Chavez, dancers Charles Brunn and Kelly Tucker, and Siena Price as the Little Match Girl.
