The Present Company proudly presents "GEM! A Truly Outrageous Parody!" as part of the 11th annual New York International Fringe Festival.  The musical, directed by David Lee (Vrrrooom, Nirvanov), will be performed at The Barrow Street Theater, 27 Barrow St, New York City.

Based on one of the greatest animated, dual-personality songstresses of the Me Decade, our Gem and her band, The Holographs, must enter a battle of the bands against their arch enemies, evil Spizazz and the Misfires.  Will rock-n-roll, hope, and a talking hologram machine be all she needs to win? Comedy Central Insider calls GEM "A truly, truly, truly outrageously fun time." GEM! first appeared to sold out audiences at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in 2007.

Book by Amanda Allan (Magnet Theater, Upright Citizens Brigade), music by Tyler Walker, costumes by Angela Harner, and choreography by Robyn Sklaren. Produced by Amanda Allan and Jen MacNeil.  Starring Glennis McMurray and Eliza Skinner (both of I Eat Pandas) as Gem and Spizazz, respectively. With Jeff Hiller (Silence! The Musical) as Cinergy the talking hologram machine.
