WABC-7 TV will present Broadway Backstage: Spring Preview, to air Saturday, March 29th from 7:30 to 8PM.  It will be hosted by WABC-7 News anchor Michelle Charlesworth and actor Harvey Fierstein
 
Tune in to Ch. 7 for a sneak peek at Broadway's hottest new shows and long running favorites including:
 
THE COUNTRY GIRL
- Mike Nichols returns to Broadway this spring to direct Morgan Freeman, Frances McDormand and Peter Gallagher in Clifford Odets's THE  COUNTRY GIRL at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre.

LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES
-Laura Linney returns to the Broadway stage starring opposite Ben Daniels in Roundabout Theatre Company's production of this seductive play about the cynicism and decadence of the French aristocracy.
 
SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE
- Stars Daniel Evans & Jenna Russell go back stage at Roundabout's Studio 54 to discuss their iconic roles in the critically-acclaimed revival of Sondheim's beloved musical. 

Alfred Hitchcock's THE 39 STEPS - The comedic play will be highlighted for its move to Broadway's Cort Theatre following its sold out limited engagement at Roundabout Theatre Company's American Airlines Theatre.

Caryl Churchill's TOP GIRLS - Star Martha Plimpton gives a sneak peek at one of her period costumes, designed by Laura Bauer.  Plimpton will be playing Pope Joan and Angie in the eagerly anticipated revival, presented by Manhattan Theatre Club at the Biltmore Theatre.
 
WABC-7 will also feature segments with Broadway's favorites including:

DISNEY'S THE LITTLE MERMAID
- Star Sherie Rene Scott discusses her theatrical life under the sea portraying the evil witch, Ursula, and the design concepts featured in her ethereal, water-inspired dressing room at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.

MAMMA MIA!
-Star Carolee Carmello and her dresser Lauren Kievit bring viewers back stage for an exclusive "day in the life" look at the Winter Garden wardrobe department, and the magic behind the "Dynamos" finale costume quick change.

Monty Python's SPAMALOT - The Tony Award-winning musical now starring "American Idol" finalist Clay Aiken and Oliver nominee Hannah Waddingham will also be highlighted.
