About the show:

A comedian from the drunken voodoo pirate city of New Orleans, Louisiana. There are many ways to describe Sean onstage, but the New York Times did it best when they said 'I've seen him perform more than a dozen sets, and he's killed every time. He's dynamite, even with ordinary material, turning standard Brooklyn-hipster jokes into a stomping, roaring tour de force, and elevating a bit about sex-performance anxiety into high-stakes comedy.' Number One is Sean's story of heartbreak, natural disasters, and celebrating the one thing that unites us all: human flaw.

Why bring it to Edinburgh?

Over the years, I've heard more and more about the Edinburgh fringe, especially since more and more American comedians have been coming over for it. Some of them come back from it shell shocked. Artistically wounded. They're entire body of work broken, battered, and on life support. Others come back elated. Creatively enriched. More than just performers. Powerful in ways mere mortals could never grasp. Like each night their show felt like walking on fire and water simultaneously.

And either way, they both have to pick themselves up from the muck or leap down from atop their high and re focus on what's next. They always move into the next phase of their comedic journey. This is why I'm coming to Edinburgh.

What sets it apart from other shows?

I don't know what sets my show apart from others. I haven't seen everyone else's show. What I can tell you is that my show is 100% pure me. I tear myself apart then rebuild all my parts into a living pyre that I set ablaze for the audience to dance around like savages while they stay warm. In my show I try to remind myself, and whomever's watching, that we're all disgusting, and that's what makes us beautiful.

Who would you recommend comes to see you?

I would recommend that anyone and everyone come see me.

Are there any other shows you're hoping to catch at the festival?

There are so many shows and I'm excited to see as many as humanely possible. This is going to be amazing!
