Tell us a bit about Hambone: enobmaH.

I describe it as a one-man, interactive character comedy which looks into the frustration and desperate measures men go through to be desired, what extreme measures they're willing to do to themselves to be loved. And as the show progresses I sort of try to find out how far the audience will push each other as well. So primarily it's a fun show for the audience to get involved with as much as they wish too, but you could argue there's a bit of a social experiment there too.

Why bring it to Edinburgh?

I've been to Edinburgh six times but never with my own show and I just think this show we've created is perfect for festival audiences and in particular Edinburgh festival goers. So I hope it'll gradually gain some momentum from word of mouth while I'm there and maybe I'll get to tour it at a later date!

What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?

It's something a bit different- in a good sense of course, with friendly audience interaction and a feel good factor for those who participate. Audience feedback that I've had say it's a good show, which is obviously positive, and I just can't imagine people not at least finding it funny if they weren't to get anything else from it. How many other shows have a fake-tanned man in tight gym gear trying to convince himself as well as the audience that he is buff.

Who would you recommend comes to see you?

Everyone of course, ha! I think if people are up for seeing something a bit unconventional but want to laugh while they do it then its right for them. It's a proper Edinburgh Festival kind of show. It is audience interactive but that doesn't mean I pick on everyone, I try to work out those who are up for being involved and those that aren't, but the people who do get involved always say I've created a safe place to play and they can get a good buzz from it.

Are there any other shows you're hoping to catch at the festival?

Loads to be honest! I don't like to plan too many because you get a better idea of what's good and everything once you're up there. Red Bastard is the only show I've pre-booked, his last show up in Edinburgh was brilliant and really inspired me to go and make my own one man show. I'll see Newbury Youth Theatre's new show, and I'm hoping to see Jamie Wood because I loved his last show and also Cheeks looks like it could be a hidden gem this year. But I've got a few other names down I'd like to see as well.
