As one of the biggest names on the PBH Free Fringe, it's hardly surprising that the venue are having to turn people away at Ed Gamble's show every day. The venue have put a policy in place where you collect a token (which is actually a bouncy ball) from the venue an hour before the show and then you can come back in time for show start - so don't just turn up and queue.

Ed Gamble is a big fan of rules. He likes structure, and he likes to be tidy. Lawman is an hour of stand-up that loosely links several ideas back to this theme, from things like his girlfriend being untidy around the house to why nobody seems concerned that Batman regularly breaks the speed limit. He does disgress from the script and highlights that it is probably not the best idea for the venue to be giving out bouncy balls an hour before the show- especially when the venue is situated on a hill!

Gamble manages to be consistently funny throughout and there is no point where his material is lacking. There is a little bit of picking on audience members but it isn't anything extreme and nobody is humiliated. Lawman is a really fun hour of comedy but you really do need to get along early because it seems like the show is packed out every day!
