During the week of Feb. 14, 2022, “Live with Kelly and Ryan” ranked as the No. 1 daytime talk show – network or syndicated – for the 2nd straight week in Households (1.7 rating), Total Viewers (2.435 million) and Women 25-54 (0.6 rating). “Live” outdelivered runner-up “Dr. Phil” by 13% in Households.

On last night's season premiere of American Idol, Toronto's Nicolina Bozzo auditioned with a powerful rendition of 'She Used to Be Mine' from Waitress. The performance earned a standing ovation from judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan. With all three judges voting 'yes,' Nicolina is headed to Hollywood.

Fully guided by votes from viewers, the special show will feature three main categories including Best Celebrity Walkout, Best Halloween Performance and Best Trivia Dancer. Airing from 11:30 p.m.-12:31 a.m., the first late-night segment of ABC’s “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2022” attracted 19.6 million Total Viewers. The 50th-anniversary show of ABC’s annual New Year’s Eve special drew in 24.2 million Total Viewers and scored a 7.3 Adult 18-49 rating in the midnight quarter-hour.

“Live with Kelly and Ryan” built week to week by 17% among Women 25-54 (0.7 rating vs. 0.6 rating) and held even week to week in Households (1.7 rating), matching season highs in both Nielsen measures. In addition, “Live with Kelly and Ryan” grew over the prior week by 4% with Total Viewers (2.434 million vs. 2.351 million).

It was previously announced that Chlöe, of popular R&B duo Chlöe x Halle, has also pulled out of the special. Although there have been several concerns due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases in New York City, ABC has responded that they will look to New York City law for guidance. The Ball Drop will proceed with social distancing and masks.

Billy Porter is set to co-host Dick Clarke's New Year's Rockin' Eve, also performing his new single. Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper return to CNN with an appearance from Patti LuPone. Miley Cyrus and Pete Davidson present a brand-new variety show. Chita Rivera hosts a special for PBS, featuring Lea Salonga, Paulo Szot, Drew Gehling, and more.

Porter will be hosting the special from New Orleans and teased what viewers can expect from the special and his performance of his new single, 'Children.' Porter will also share a sneak peek of his upcoming single on the special.

New Orleans co-host Billy Porter delivers his new hit single and a sneak peak of a future classic on the riverboat Louis Armstrong on the mighty Mississippi River in the historic French Quarter. Also announced are LL COOL J, Chloë, Karol G, Avril Lavigne, Mae Muller, Daddy Yankee, Walker Hayes, OneRepublic, and more!

Other performers will include AJR, Travis Barker, Big Boi, French Montana, Macklemore, Mae Muller, Polo G, and Masked Wolf. 17-time host and executive producer Ryan Seacrest in Times Square with first-time co-host Liza Koshy, co-host Billy Porter from New Orleans, and co-host Roselyn Sanchez who will lead the festivities in Puerto Rico.

Billy Porter has revealed his official music video for “Children”. The visual is Porter's first video with his new team at the Island/Republic record label. “Children” is a high-energy dance floor anthem co-written with GRAMMY® Award-nominated songwriter MNEK [H.E.R., Dua Lipa] and Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall.

Returning for his third year is Emmy®, GRAMMY® and Tony Award® winner Billy Porter, who will return to New Orleans to shepherd the Central Time Zone countdown. The broadcast will also feature Ryan Seacrest, Ciara, Liza Koshy, and Roselyn Sanchez.

Upcoming episodes will feature appearances by Jamie Foxx, Rosario Dawson, Kevin Hart, Victoria Beckham, Dwyane Wade, Anthony Anderson, Kristin Chenoweth, Holly Robinson Peete, Vanessa Williams, Caroline Rhea, Scottie Pippin and Derek Hough. The shows will present performances from Josh Groban and the Radio City Rockettes.

Roselyn Sanchez joins the previously announced Liza Koshy, Ciara and Billy Porter in joining Ryan Seacrest for the annual countdown. The production has also recruited Reggaeton superstar and San Juan native Daddy Yankee for the celebration to give a spectacular hometown performance.
