Starting Friday, February 10 at 8PM, the 2023 Kleban Prize for Musical Theatre ceremony will stream, for free, on the Broadway On Demand SmartTV channel. 

YELLOW SOUND LABEL will celebrate Baby: New Off-Broadway Cast Recording with a special concert at New York’s The Green Room 42 on Monday, February 13 at 7:00 PM.

The 2023 Kleban Prize was presented on February 6 at BMI’s New York City headquarters, 7 World Trade Center. The 2023 Kleban Prize winners are most promising musical theater lyricist Ryan Scott Oliver, and most promising musical theater librettist, co-librettist Ethan Lipton. The next Musical Theatre Melodies broadcast, hosted by Rob Morrison on 96.5 FM on Tuesday, February 7 will mark the 40th anniversary year of the David Shire and Richard Maltby Jr. musical BABY from the 2022 Out of the Box Theatrics Off-Broadway cast recording starring Julia Murney, Christina Sajous, Gabrielle McClinton, Johnny Link, Liz Flemming and Robert H. Fowler with Ethan Paulini, Jewell Noel, Jorge Donoso and Marisa Kirby (prior to its general release on 13 February.)

The Kleban Foundation will present the 33rd annual Kleban Prize for Musical Theatre on Monday, February 6 at 5PM in a private ceremony (by invitation only) hosted by ASCAP and BMI at BMI's New York City headquarters (7 World Trade Center).

What did our critic think of AIN'T MISBEHAVIN' at Geva Theatre? It's curious that 'Ain't Misbehavin'' feels like such a perfect show for a Rochester audience, given that Fats Waller has no apparent Rochester connection; he was born in New York City, died in Kansas City, and spent the bulk of his short life entertaining audiences across the U.S and abroad.

Music Mountain Theatre returns to performances on January 13 as their 2023 season begins with Ain't Misbehavin'. The production will have performances on weekends through January 29.

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present the return of the Our Sinatra – the acclaimed musical revue celebrating the music of Frank Sinatra – on Monday, December 26 for three shows at 5:30 PM, 8:00 PM, and 10:00 PM.

Austin Pendleton  & Barbara Bleier will make their London cabaret debut with 'Barbara and Austin Sing Steve & Oscar, and then some……' at The Pheasantry in Chelsea. The show will run for two nights only, on Friday and Saturday, January 13th & 14th, 2023.

Fresh from his Broadway run in the Tony Award-winning revival of George Furth and Stephen Sondheim's Company, San Francisco native Bobby Conte will return home with his acclaimed solo show, Along the Way, on Saturday, February 11 at 8 p.m. at A.C.T.'s Strand Theater.

YELLOW SOUND LABEL will release Baby: New Off-Broadway Cast Recording next year to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the show’s original production. The album is scheduled for release on streaming and digital platforms on February 14, 2023.

BIRDLAND THEATER will present the return of “Scunge! A Mobbed-Up Christmas Carol” – written by and starring Broadway’s Dominic Scaglione, Jr., Andy Karl, Dominic Nolfi, and Matt Bogart – from Friday, December 16 through Sunday, December 18.
