BroadwayWorld has a first look at The Muny's production of SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE! Get a first look at the cast in action.

On Monday, July 26, 2021, the curtain goes up on The Muny’s 103rd Season with The Muny Premiere of the musical revue Smokey Joe’s Cafe sponsored by Ameren. With a set design inspired by St. Louis’ historic Gaslight Square, Smokey Joe’s Cafe features the music of Leiber and Stoller and was the longest running musical revue on Broadway. BroadwayWorld had the opportunity to sit down with company member Dee Roscioli to discuss her Muny debut.

In addition to its six-play membership season, the Montgomery County institution returns with an equally busy schedule of concerts, special productions, presentations, and even more curated programming to build off of the success of its summer series: Olney Outdoors.

The Muny announced today that Broadway’s Dee Roscioli will complete the cast of the theatre’s 103rd season opener, Smokey Joe’s Cafe. The design and production team for the Muny premiere was also announced. Smokey Joe’s Cafe runs July 26 – Aug. 1.

After what will be a 23-month intermission, The Muny's 103rd season will open with the Muny premiere of Smokey Joe's Cafe, followed by The Sound of Music, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, On Your Feet! and Chicago.

Drury Lane Theatre has announced its 2021/2022 Season will begin in September 2021. Drury Lane’s 66th Season includes Evita, The King and I, Steel Magnolias, Forever Plaid, and Holiday Inn. Drury Lane Theatre’s season runs September 2021 – July 2022 at 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced its fall schedule of classes and workshops are now open for registration. Classes will be held online via Zoom or in-person in outdoor and social-distanced settings, and vary from on-camera acting workshops, to musical theater reading clubs, to performances of Shakespeare.
