Walt Disney Imagineering Will Be Honored at the Lumiere Awards

The Advanced Imaging Society will honor Walt Disney Imagineering at the 11th Annual Lumiere Awards, joining previously announced Harold Lloyd Award recipient, Academy Award-nominated filmmaker James Mangold. Four-time Golden Globe nominee Caitriona Balfe (Ford v Ferrari, Outlander) will join Suzanne Lloyd, Chairwoman of Harold Lloyd Entertainment in presenting to Mangold. The Lumiere Awards will be held on Wednesday, January 22 at Warner Bros. Studios.
Quibi Announces Scripted Series 'Wireless' Starring Tye Sheridan

Today, Quibi announced a scripted series, WIRELESS, starring Tye Sheridan (“Ready Player One”). The thrilling survival series created and executive produced by Jack Seidman and Zach Wechter has been greenlit by Quibi. The project will also be executive produced by Steven Soderbergh, Michael Sugar, Cathy Konrad and Danny Sherman. Wechter will direct the series beginning production this week. Christian Heuer, Pickpocket, Treeline Film and Propagate are producing the series.

Today, CBS News and Quibi announced an innovative news show entitled 60 IN 6 that will deliver 60 MINUTES' brand of storytelling tailored for a new platform and a new audience. With this groundbreaking licensing agreement, 60 MINUTES will produce an original weekly program, approximately six minutes per episode, exclusively for Quibi.
ESPN to Serve as the Exclusive U.S. Multi-Sport Content Provider for Quibi's Daily Essentials

ESPN and Quibi have reached an agreement for daily sports programming on the mobile-first platform when it launches in April 2020. As part of the new deal, ESPN will be the exclusive U.S. multi-sport content provider for Quibi's curated news and information programming, Daily Essentials. The new ESPN show, available only on Quibi, will feature daily episodes and breaking news covering the biggest stories in sports.
Janice Min Leaves Quibi Ahead of April Start Date

GLSEN, the leading education organization working to create safe and inclusive K-12 schools for LGBTQ youth, is pleased to announce that it will honor Amazon Studios with the Visionary Award at the 2019 GLSEN Respect Awards – Los Angeles. Amazon Studios Chief Jennifer Salke will accept the award on behalf of the organization. As previously announced, Apple CEO Tim Cook will receive the Champion Award.
