ZACH Theatre has announced the all-female band for the regional premiere of Head Over Heels with musical direction of the band by Rock-N-Roll Hall of Famer and Go-Go bassist Kathy Valentine.

Children’s Theatre Company's 2023 Triple Threat production will be Head Over Heels (High School Edition). Featuring music and lyrics by The Go-Go’s, Head Over Heels was conceived by Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q), who also wrote the original book, and adapted by James Magruder (Triumph of Love).

The Wayward Artist is thrilled to announce performance dates for the Tony-award winning musical Avenue Q with lyrics and music by Jeff Marx & Robert Lopez and book by Jeff Whitty. Marietta Theatre Company will present, 'Head Over Heels', a musical comedy with music and lyrics from the catalog of The Go-Go's at the newly formed Alley Stage (11 Anderson Street, Marietta 30060). Jeff Whitty conceived the show and wrote the original book, which was then later adapted by James Magruder.

The show, with music by Tom Kitt and Lin-Manuel Miranda, lyrics by Amanda Green and Miranda, loosely based on the 2000 film of the same name, focuses on the competitive world of cheerleading and over-the-top team rivalries.

Based on The Arcadia by Sir Philip Sydney, conceived and original book by Jeff Whitty, adapted by James Magruder, with songs by The Go-Go's, continues at the Iron Crow Theatre through December 18.

Avenue Q book writer Jeff Whitty has shared a detailed outline of what a film adaptation of the Tony-winning musical would be like. His new ideas include updated takes on Kate Monster, Lucy, and Trekkie Monster, plus who he thinks should play some of the characters. Plus, Whitty also leaves the door open for a Broadway revival and series.

Iron Crow Theatre announced that Baltimore native and Broadway playwright James Magruder has joined the production team of Head Over Heels. Magruder adapted Head Over Heels (original concept by Jeff Whitty) for its original Broadway run and will assist in the Baltimore premiere.

The European première of Head Over Heels will take place the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester next year. The production opens on 31 January 2023, with previews from 26 January, running until 4 March.
