Helmed by acclaimed producer Shooter Jennings, this album is a deeper dive into Dayton's blues roots. The album features Dayton's next-level songwriting and extraordinary guitar prowess and also marks a deeper exploration of his blues influences, following his recent Grammy nomination.

Accompanying the album announcement is the release of the title track, 'The Hard Way,' alongside an energetic music video. Currently, Dayton is on the road previewing his new music while completing the final legs of the Death Wish Blues tour with Samantha Fish. Next week, Dayton will unveil headline tour dates.

Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids has announced artists for the upcoming 2024 LaughFest coming up March 6-10, including Tammy Pescatelli, Josh Johnson, Piff the Magic Dragon, and Demetri Martin.

Fish and Dayton got together via an innocent co-writing session. They envisioned a sound that married the explosive blues with alt-rock. Out of this came an EP of covers, The Stardust Sessions. Following soon thereafter was Death Wish Blues, the duo's fully realized collaboration, which topped the Billboard Blues Chart for three consecutive weeks.
