After kicking off its 21st comedy festival last week with legend Eric Idle, followed by dozens of shows through the week, SF Sketchfest continues its multi-day comedy festival with more shows and live-stream events through Februrary 4.

SF Sketchfest kicks off its 21st comedy festival with legend Eric Idle at the Castro Theatre on Thursday, January 18 followed by over 200 shows taking place through February 4 in venues across San Francisco.

SF Sketchfest has revealed the initial lineup for the 2024 Comedy Festival in San Francisco. Tickets go on sale on November 19.

JON GLASER (Delocated, Parks and Rec, Girls) has released his debut comedy album 'JON GLASER'S SOOTHING MEDITATIONS FOR THE SOLITARY DOG.' Glaser's album is the latest release in the PGF Records catalog which includes releases from Eugene Mirman, Bobcat Goldthwait, Maeve Higgins, and most recently, Derrick Brown's album of comedy & poetry.

Derrick has performed opening for comedians and bands including Cold War Kids, Afghan Whigs, Rival Sons, Kyle Kinane, Kristen Schaal, Kurt Braunohler, Cross, Mirman, and more. Derrick has written 10 poetry books and can be found performing on stages around L.A. where he now calls home.

Casting has been announced for the Berkshires premiere of Tony Award-winning playwright Ken Ludwig's Dear Jack, Dear Louise at Shakespeare & Company.

New from PGF Records, the indie comedy label co-founded by comedian Eugene Mirman (Bob’s Burgers), comes the single “How Do You Lie To Your Child About Santa”. Performed by Eugene and Lucy Wainright Roche, it’s a Christmas song about the dilemma of wanting to indulge your young child in the fun of Santa.

Shakespeare & Company has announced the cast of Measure for Measure by William Shakespeare - to be staged at the Tina Packer Playhouse at the Shakespeare & Company campus, from August 19 through September 18. 

WHAT I FIRST DESIRED, written by playwright and actor Tyler Martin and directed by Enrique Cavazos, now moves onto a highly anticipated second round of performances this July giving audiences an opportunity to see an extended version of the one-act. WHAT I FIRST DESIRED will return with performances July 1, 6, 8, & 9 @ 7PM ET.

The Broadway Podcast Network has announced that Take a Bow,  hosted by Eli Tokash, is celebrating it's 100th episode with a special live event featuring stars JJ Niemann (The Book of Mormon), Presley Ryan (Beetlejuice), Max Von Essen (Anastasia), and Anthony Rosenthal (Falsettos).

The boundary-pushing, provocative animated political satire feature, Washingtonia will premiere in fall 2021. Fairview a weekly, hyper-topical, half-hour, eight episode series set to premiere in early 2022.

SF Sketchfest will present Festpocalypse, an all-star virtual variety show featuring over 100 of the biggest names in comedy, film, and television livestreaming on Saturday, January 30. Quickie Fest 7, the one-minute movie festival, has announced its roster of Special Jury members and short film slate for its seventh incarnation, which will take place this Saturday, June 29th at 7:00PM at NYC's SVA Theatre. The event will kick off with beer from Brooklyn's Six Point Brewing (included with every ticket) followed by back-to-back short films, all under a minute long. The evening will conclude with the jury awards.
