Jarvis B. Manning, Jr., a native of Houston, Texas, is extremely proud to be in Dominique Morisseau's Ain't Too Proud. His favorite performance credits are Jackie Wilson, Eddie Holland, Billy Gordon, and Rick James. He portrayed these musical legends in the first national tour of Motown The Musical and on Broadway at the Nederlander Theatre. A new favorite is Elbridge "Al" Bryant and Norman Whitfield in the World premiere of Ain't Too Proud (Berkeley Rep). Graduate of the legendary High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA) and the American Music and Dramatic Academy (AMDA NY). Songbook Sundays Returns Next Month at Lincoln Center's Dizzy's Club


Songbook Sundays, created and hosted by Deborah Grace Winer celebrating the American Songbook will continue at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Dizzy's with BEWITCHED, BOTHERED AND RODGERS AND HART on Sunday, February 5th at 5 PM and 7:30 PM at Dizzy's Club.

Barrington Stage Company has announced casting for the first two shows of its 2022 season: the 1978 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Ain’t Misbehavin’: The Fats Waller Musical Show, and the world premiere play, Andy Warhol in Iran by Brent Askari (BSC’s American Underground) which opens the St. Germain Stage from June 2-25.

The producers of Broadway's Ain't Too Proud - The Life and Times of The Temptations announced today that they will welcome Hamilton alum Nik Walker and Detroit native Matt Manuel to the musical as Otis Williams and David Ruffin, respectively, beginning Friday, February 28, 2020. Derrick Baskin and Ephraim Sykes, the Tony Award® nominated original Temptations actors, will depart the production on Wednesday, February 26, 2020.

Producers Ira Pittelman and Tom Hulce announced today that Ain't Too Proud - The Life and Times of The Temptations has once again broken the box office house record at the Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street). Ain't Too Proud's gross for the week ending December 29, 2019, was $1,865,016.90, the highest in the history of the Imperial Theatre. The musical broke its own record of $1,710,207.90 set the week of December 8, 2019. Prior to that, Billy Elliot: The Musical held the Imperial's house record, grossing $1,663,895.00 in January 2010.
