The Pittsburgh CLO Guild has announced that the late Violet Gallo and her husband, Hon. Robert C. Gallo will be honored with the 4th Annual CLOE Award for Community Service at the 59th Annual Pittsburgh CLO Guild Ball on June 7 at the Westin Convention Center Hotel. The CLOE award was established in 2011 to recognize and celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions to our community.

Mrs. Gallo was a beloved member of the Pittsburgh CLO Guild for nearly three decades, and served as the Guild Publicity Chair for many years. She co-chaired the 50th Anniversary Pink Frolic Ball honoring Guild founder Connie Rockwell in 2005. "The Gilded Butterfly" Ball drew a record crowd of 560 guests for this spectacular event. Mrs. Gallo also chaired the Guild's holiday party on several occasions and was an active and engaged member of Pittsburgh CLO's Board of Directors. In addition, she was the former president of Allegheny County Law Wives and a member of the Twenty-Five Club benefiting Magee-Womens Hospital. Her husband, Hon. Robert C. Gallo joined her in her philanthropic endeavors, providing constant support for their many efforts in the community, which benefited organizations such as the Dee Sacco Fight for Life Fund, the Distribution Committee of the Fugh, the Pittsburgh Opera Association, the American Cancer Society and the Ladies Hospital Aide Society, among many others.

The 59th Annual Pittsburgh CLO Guild Ball, co-chaired by the three-generation team of Moira Davison, her son George Davison and her granddaughter Morgan Davison, will be held on Saturday, June 7 at the Westin Convention Center Hotel Ballroom in downtown Pittsburgh. This year's theme, "A Night to Remember," is a celebration of Pittsburgh CLO's rich tradition of exceptional live musical productions over the past 68 years. The evening will include the annual sale of "Pink Boxes," an exciting new raffle for three prizes of $2,000, $3,000 and $5,000 respectively (2-3-5K Raffle) and a silent auction featuring several luxury items. Guests will enjoy dynamic live performances topped off with dinner and dancing.
