The second coming of David Javerbaum's hit comedy, AN ACT OF GOD, which first came to Broadway in May of 2015 with Jim Parsons in the title role, will be ending its blessed 14-week limited engagement at the Booth Theatre (222 West 45th Street) on Sunday, September 4th, and its Tony nominated and Emmy winning star Sean Hayes is counting down the remaining performances.

Written by God, transcribed by 13-time Emmy Award winner David Javerbaum and directed by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello, the comedy returned to New York after launching the 2015-2016 Broadway season in a sold-out, critically acclaimed run and a second successful run starring Hayes in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

An Act of God, which also features David Josefsberg as Michael and James Gleasonas Gabriel, began performances on Saturday, May 28, 2016 and officially opened on Monday, June 6, 2016.

The King of the Universe is back to tackle His greatest challenge yet: a second summer in New York. God takes the form of Emmy Award winner Sean Hayes in An Act of God, a 90-minute comedy where the Almighty and His devoted Angels answer some of the deepest questions that have plagued mankind since Creation. He's returned to set the record straight to a whole new crop of believers ... and He's not holding back!

An Act of God features scenic design by Tony Award winner Scott Pask (The Book of Mormon), costume design by Tony Award nominee David Zinn (Fun Home), lighting design by Tony Award winner Hugh Vanstone (Matilda) sound design by Drama Desk Award winner Fitz Patton(It's Only A Play) and projection design by Drama Desk Award winner Peter Nigrini (Here Lies Love).

An Act of God is produced by Jeffrey Finn, The Shubert Organization, Roy Putrino, Bob Boyett,Grove Entertainment, Caiola Productions, Richard Winkler, Adam Zotovich, Marco Gomez, Jay & Cindy Gutterman, Jamie Kaye-Phillips, Larry Magid, Douglas L.
