This week on Broadwaysted we welcome the talented performer and avid gamer Alex Boniello! We pour out Jack and Gingers and discuss how Alex auditioned for Deaf West's SPRING AWAKENING in a catering uniform and the disaster scenario that played out the night he arrived in L.A. to join the production.

Alex spills about his favorite video game, the intricate way he communicated onstage with the deaf actor playing Moritz during the show, and discover he doesn't know the lyrics to "Memory" from CATS. We talk about the PBS HAMILTON documentary and Alex shows all of us when he tried on David S. Pumpkin's suit.

Game Master Kimberly introduces a three-part game: "Take A Hint" where we have to get everyone to guess a person with one word, "Loose Lyrics" where we have to sing lyrics to a Broadway song to other famous melodies, and "Pick'a'Little, Talk'a'Little," a rapid-fire Taboo-style "Lights of Broadway Show Cards Game." We have a lot of laughs this week to be sure to tune in as Alex Boniello gets Broadwaysted!

Alex's Bio:

Alex Boniello is a New York City based actor, singer, and musician. He has appeared on Broadway in Deaf West Theatre's revival of "SPRING AWAKENING," starring as The Voice of Moritz, as well as acting as guitarist in the on-stage band. He has been seen in various off-broadway shows, performed at Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center, was featured in Lin-Manuel Miranda and THIS AMERICAN LIFE's "21 CHUMP STREET," and has been seen on screen in numerous feature films and television shows, such as Marvel and Netflix's "JESSICA JONES," Showtime's "HAPPYISH," and NBC's "LATE NIGHT WITH Seth Meyers." In 2016, he plans to release a debut EP as a singer/songwriter. Alex is an avid video gamer, and can talk your ear off about the intricacies of the Metal Gear Solid franchise.
