A roundtable with three of the most notable and accomplished figures in their respective fields is set for the Museum of Contemporary Art in New York City on December 3, with musical theatre master Stephen Sondheim, pop/rock icon Paul Simon and acclaimed novelist Michael Chabon all set to participate in the discussion.

The topic? Words and music - things which these three luminaries are most assuredly quite acutely aware, particularly Sondheim and Simon, natch.

Of note, Chabon will act as host, with Sondheim and Simon offering their insights into the songwriting process.

The roundtable discussion is being sponsored by the MacDowell Colony, a noted artists' colony.

Of note, Sondheim himself recently received the Edward MacDowell Medal for Lifetime Achievement, while Chabon is the current chairman of the New Hamspire arts institution.

More information on the MacDowell Colony is available at the official site here.
