A 33 year old Broadway actor, next set to appear in SHUFFLE ALONG (currently in rehearsals) has been reported missing, and police (and cast members) are asking for the public's help in finding the actor who has has been missing since Wednesday.

Update - 3:30 PM:

Amongst many members of the Broadway community, fellow SHUFFLE ALONG cast member Audra McDonald tweeted earlier "This is our beloved cast member JL. Please read & share if you can. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers" as did Brian Stokes Mitchell, writing "Please pass this on!!!"

According to the Daily News, "Jeffrey "JL" Williams, 33, a member of the cast of Shuffle Along, was last seen Wednesday morning leaving his Bronx apartment to head to work, the police said.Williams' husband has not heard from him since the actor left the Jerome Ave. home at 7 a.m, according to an NYPD flyer."

Jeffrey "JL" Williams is a celebrated stage performer of over 15 years engaging and entertaining audiences on Broadway to regional theatre in over 20 countries around the world. Some of his credits include the pre-Broadway workshops of George C. Wolfe's and Savion Glover's "Shuffle Along or the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and all that Followed."

He appeared in the original Broadway Cast of FELA! and Lagos, Nigeria. Japan and North American Tour of 42nd Street in the role of Andy Lee, Magic of the Dance, Sophisticated Ladies, Five Guys Named Moe, Los Angeles Music Center Spotlight Award Alumni of 2000, and "The Gregory Hines Show" on the CBS network.
