Josh Groban talks theatre obsession!

Music superstar, acclaimed concert performer and vocalist Josh Groban follows up his acclaimed solo album ALL THAT ECHOES with a new release featuring famous movie and theatre songs titled STAGES and he discusses his passion for musical theatre in a brand new interview.

"[My passion for theatre] came from my parents," Groban relates.

"It kind of awoke in us a creative spirit - for me, it was just getting chills in those seats and just saying, 'God, I want to make people feel how I am feeling right now,'" Groban remembers.

Furthermore, Groban adds, "I just remember being very enthralled - very inspired - by the stories and the characters... I got the bug."

Plus, Groban shares his enthusiasm for the musicals of Stephen Sondheim, specifically SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, as well as popular hits LES MISERABLES, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and more, as well.

Among the choice musical theatre showstoppers on the album are "Bring Him Home" from LES MISERABLES, "Children Will Listen" from INTO THE WOODS mashed up with "Not While I'm Around" from SWEENEY TODD, a reprise of Groban's famed "Anthem" from CHESS, "Finishing The Hat" from SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE and many more, plus a duet with Audra McDonald on "If I Loved You" from CAROUSEL and another with Kelly Clarkson on "All I Ask Of You" from THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.
