Hallowe'en is out of the way now, so it's time to get a bit festive. What better way than crooning along to White Christmas, ready to settle in at the Dominion, starring a couple of Strictly Come Dancing alumni - Aled Jones (a voice inextricably linked with this season here in Britain) and Tom Chambers? It toured the UK last year to a mighty set of impressive reviews, and now it takes the place of Evita - now finishing its limited engagement - at the Tottenham Court Road venue.

Maybe the now-traditional Slava's Snowshow is more your thing - and that magical production is on its way round the country too.

If non-Christmassy shows are more in your line, Made in Dagenham gets its official opening this month - I saw the first preview and loved it; what will the rest of the critics reckon? We'll find out next week.

There are a few Shakespeares around and about - not the most seasonal fayre - but there's an Othello in Birmingham and a Macbeth in Clapham. I suppose the Bard never goes out of style.

Oh, and the fabulous Edward Scissorhands, from the creative mind of Matthew Bourne, is on its travels - catch it in Plymouth, Glasgow and Salford this month.

And yes, the pantos are starting to crank up - expect more next month about that...
