Keeping in mind the health and safety of their staff, performers, and patrons, 1st Stage has decided to begin its next season in February of 2021. Join 1st Stage in February, April, and May for three fantastic full-length productions, and in July 2021 for the return of the groundbreaking Logan Festival of Solo Performance.

From July 6-17, more than 200 of the country's most outstanding teen musicians-hailing from 41 states across the USA-come together to form an online virtual musical community, taking part in Carnegie Hall's three acclaimed national youth ensembles-the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA), NYO2, and NYO Jazz.

Her Hotel, a virtual rock dream, written by Rebecca Lee Lerman and directed by Jessica Wu, will stream live during the WTFringe 2020 and the 2020 Women's Theatre Festival Saturday, July 11th and Saturday, July 25th.

 BRIC in partnership with the NYC Department of Education (DOE), has announced a new three-hour weekday broadcast of educational content created by Brooklyn teachers, principals, and educators. Having started on June 22, 2020, the program will air on BRIC's Brooklyn Free Speech HD channel Mondays through Fridays, 9AM to 12PM EST. 

Madison Opera's Opera in the Park isn't in a park this year, but it will be available for people to enjoy for free in their backyards, in their living rooms, in their kayaks, or anywhere else with an internet connection. The digital concert will be released on Saturday, July 25 at 8pm Central, and can be watched on Madison Opera's website.

Next up in the National Theatre at Home series of broadcasts we find a gem of a play coming straight from their archives, Lorraine Hansberry's staggeringly topical Les Blancs. Originally staged in 2016 by director Yaël Farber, it was posthumously completed by Hansberry's former husband Robert Nemiroff for a Broadway run, and then reworked by dramaturge Drew Lichtenberg, Joi Gresham (director of the Lorraine Hansberry Literary Trust), and Farber herself for the production at the National after consulting Hansberry's journals and notes.
