It was quite a musical extravaganza as Johann Strauss II’s Die Fledermaus: The Revenge of the Bat landed in the Walt Disney Theater at Dr. Phillips Center with appropriately socially-distant and audience-safe performances on December 17 and 19.

Since 1978, West Bank Cafe has been one of the epicenters of New York City’s theatre community, and due to the pandemic, it is on the verge of permanently closing. With Broadway dark, tourism down, indoor dining closed, and no relief plan in sight, 2020 has created a plethora of financial problems for the beloved theater district institution. 

Like many UK venues, Leicester’s Curve Theatre has had to quickly adapt to the everchanging COVID-19 situation. Having just transformed their two theatres into one enormous “in-the-round” space, the Curve’s concert revival of their hit 2017 production of Sunset Boulevard was transformed into a fully online show to view at home, directed by Nikolai Foster.

Covenant Care, which operates facilities for seniors in communities across Alberta, is streaming the Citadel Theatre’s digitized rendition of A Christmas Carol to its residents. Covenant Care will provide the show to around nine-hundred seniors in nine of their facilities across the province.

The fourth Theatre Channel episode features West End stars including Matt Croke, Zizi Strallen and Cassidy Janson singing festive musical numbers.
