Sessions has announced another new collaboration with Joy Ruckus Club, the largest Asian music festival in the world, to present K-Pop SuperFest on Saturday, June 19.

The first international conducting competition in Korea, KSO International Conducting Competition will be held in 2021 with the aims of discovering, supporting and nurturing young talented conductors around the world.

On stage, some were showing magic tricks to the audience members, receiving rounds of applause. Once, the lights dimmed and the siren began to blare, the audience was transported into Russia, as the “Prologue” began to play. This was the beginning of NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 (a.k.a THE GREAT COMET) ’s Korean production. The vibrant musical opened its doors to Russia on March 20 at the Universal Arts Center, inviting the  Korean audience to an unforgettable theatre experience.

The 12th Korea Opera Festival will be held from May 7 to June 6. This year's festival will showcase six works on women's life in two theaters in Seoul.

It was recently announced that there will be a cinema release under the name of MONTE CRISTO: The Musical LIVE, both in 4DX and 2D. To celebrate, I had the great opportunity to interview Frank Wildhorn, the composer of MONTE CRISTO.

Based on the novel by the same name by Alexandre Dumas, MONTE CRISTO the Musical follows the life of Edmond Dantès, a young naive second mate of a French ship whose life plummeted on the happiest day of his life. Framed by the people he trusted, Edmond is locked up for life and after 15 years of suffering, with the help of an inmate, later mentor, Abbè Fria, he comes back under the name of a wealthy Count of Monte Cristo. Consumed by revenge, Edmond slowly plans a way to bring hell to those who have betrayed him.

A recorded version of Frank Wildhorn and Jack Murphy's musical, MONTE CRISTO, recently will be shows in cinemas in South Korea beginning March 19th, 2021. The production stars a number of Korean stars in the new musical based on the classic Alexandre Dumas novel.

The poster art for the South Korean production of Beetlejuice has been revealed! The first Korean production of Beetlejuice, performed in the Korean language, will come to Seoul, South Korea next year. The production is scheduled to open in June 2021, and perform a limited run through August at the Sejong Arts Center in Seoul.
