Popular actor and singer Philip Moolman will play one night only at the Drostdy Theatre in Sellenbosch this July. He will perform a programme of Neil Diamond hits as well as his own Afrikaans material, including songs like "Hoog bo die wolke" and "Vissies". Most people remember Moolman as André Vorster in EGOLI or Neil Macdonald in SONKRING, but his career kicked off when he won Ster '90, a national singing and songwriting competition in which he was named the best singer and songwriter. In 2002, he opened a dinner theatre venue named Die Blou Hond, where he and dozens of top performers perform weekly. Following many the successful performances at Die Blou Hond, Moolman decided it was time to introduce his talents to a wider audience. Leading roles in four musicals, namely ESTHER, LIEFLING, DROOMKIND and ONS VIR YOU, followed, as well as a role in the film, SNAAKS GENOEG.
