The Phantom of the Opera celebrated its 35th Anniversary at Her Majesty’s Theatre on Monday 11 October with guests in attendance including Boy George, Max Whitlock, Dr. Ranj, The Vivienne, Melanie Blatt, Chris Moyles, Amy Hart, Jeremy Vine and Matt Richardson.

Now playing at the Bass Concert Hall through April 30th, is the 1986 classic Phantom of the Opera. This Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, still running on Broadway as the longest running show in Broadway's history, has you humming as you leave the theater. Although many people criticize Andrew Lloyd Webber for his repetitive melodies, it is the magic of his music that will keep you singing a song or two and memorably reliving his orchestrations.

Ben Forster will play the role of 'The Phantom' in The Phantom of the Opera from Monday 1 February 2016. Ben is probably best known for winning the ITV1 show, 'Superstar' - Andrew Lloyd Webber's TV talent search for 'Jesus' in "Jesus Christ Superstar". His other theatre credits include 'Magaldi' in "Evita" at the Dominion Theatre. Ben joins "The Phantom of the Opera" following his appearance as 'Buddy' in "Elf The Musical" also at the Dominion Theatre.

Company members from the West End production of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'The Phantom of the Opera', have raised almost £12,000 for MacMillan Cancer Care by cycling more than 385km - in between shows - from central London all the way to the steps of the Paris Opera House (where the Phantom's story is set) in just 28 hours. The Phantom of the Opera has recently welcomed new cast members, who joine dthe cast on 3 September. New to the show are Marcus Lovett as 'The Phantom', Simon Thomas as 'Raoul', LAra Martins as 'Carlotta' and Anna O'Byrne as 'Christine' at certain performances. PHANTOM will continue to star Sofia Escobar as 'Christine', Cheryl McAvoy as 'Madame Giry', Jeremy Secomb as 'Piangi', Barry James as 'Monsieur Firmin', Gareth Snook as 'Monsieur André' and Anna Forbes as 'Meg Giry'.
