Manhattan Concert Productions is getting ready to present the 9th installment of its beloved Broadway Series with the critically acclaimed musical Children of Eden. The company just met the press and BroadwayWorld was there for the big day. Check out photos below!

Ballet Hispánico, the nation’s largest Latinx cultural organization and one of America’s Cultural Treasures, will perform Eduardo Vilaro's Buscando a Juan as part of the Summer 2023 MetLiveArts Season from July 13-15, 2023 at The Robert Lehman Wing at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Starring Eline Porto and Beto Sargentelli, who also take on production alongside Lucas Mello, the musical The Last 5 Years written by Jason Robert Brown, arrives in Sao Paulo, for a short season. Directed by Joao Fonseca, musical direction by Thiago Gimenes and versions to Portuguese by Rafael Oliveira, the production, which relates in a different and special way the last years of the relationship lived by Cathy and Jamie, is a success in several countries and now opens in Brazil.

Manhattan Concert Productions (MCP) presented Broadway Classics in Concert, on Tuesday, February 20, 8:00 PM, in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall. The concert featured Michael Arden(Ragtime, Hunchback of Notre Dame), Sierra Boggess (The Secret Garden), Carolee Carmello(Broadway Classics 2013), Allan Corduner (Titanic), Quentin Earl Darrington (The Secret Garden), Ramin Karimloo (Parade, The Secret Garden), Norm Lewis (Ragtime), Laura Osnes (Crazy For You), Lea Salonga (Ragtime), Ryan Silverman (Titanic), and Tony Yazbeck (Crazy For You).

June 25th, 2017 marked New York City's 47th Annual Pride parade. Thousands of New Yorkers took to the streets to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community this year. A sea of rainbow, glitter, feathers, and every combination of the three filled the street. The historic march was filled with members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies alike. Stretching from 36th street and 5th avenue all the way down past the historic Stonewall Inn to Christopher street, people sang, danced, and watched as the parade passed by.

This November 24th I celebrate one year since first hearing something from Hamilton. It's not a coincidence that this day also is when 2016's Thanksgiving falls.

Gloucester Stage Company continues its 37th season of professional theater on Cape Ann with a limited run of Jason Robert Brown's Songs For A New World from August 4 through August 27 at 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA. Songs For A New World with music and lyrics by three time Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown is a stirring musical journey examining the moments of decision and difficult choices faced in everyday life. Known for such Broadway hits as Parade, The Bridges of Madison County, Honeymoon in Vegas, and The Last Five Years, Mr. Brown artfully blends pop, jazz and gospel in solos and ensemble styles to create this inspiring song cycle.  Directed by Gloucester Stage Artistic Director Robert Walsh, the production features five singers including Tony Award nominee Barbara Walsh, Broadway veterans Rockport's Wendy Waring and Jack Donahue, Berklee College of Music graduate Chris Pittman and  Brandeis' Nyah Macklin, all four in their Gloucester Stage debut. According to Director and GSC Artistic Director Walsh, "Songs For A New World is an enthralling evening of storytelling through song and movement reminiscent of Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris. We are so fortunate to have such a talented group of actor-singers to bring this work to our audience. It's a particular treat to work with my cousin Barbara again after so many years!  Wendy, Jack, Chris and Nyah are also incredibly fun, hugely talented and all working together in such a fun way - it's a thrill!'

TUCK EVERLASTING, the new musical based on Natalie Babbitt's beloved best-selling novel of the same name, is currently playing at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street). With direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (Something Rotten!, Aladdin, The Book of Mormon), Tuck Everlasting will officially open on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. The first national tour of THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY opens at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre on December 10, 2015, and playing through January 17, 2016. (Previews on December 8 and 9.) Check out photos of the cast in action below!

CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST, the official kick-off to the 2015 Radio City Christmas Spectacular holiday season, was held today, August 13, in New York City. Featuring Santa Claus and the Rockettes, the event stopped traffic on 6th avenue in front of Radio City Music Hall, while the iconic dancers brought to life the wooden soldiers and rag dolls from Santa's enchanted workshop in the North Pole. The new London production of the acclaimed Broadway musical Grand Hotel at Southwark Playhouse, opens tonight 5 August 2015, produced by Danielle Tarento and directed by Thom Southerland, the award-winning team behind the musicals Titanic (that recently transferred to Toronto), Parade and Mack & Mabel. The Pride Arts Festival ran from Sunday 21 to Sunday 28 June and showcases London's varied LGBT+ cultural scene, including performances from former Jean Valjean, Daniel Koek, as well as Rachel Weston and more. The 25th annual Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre lyricist has been awarded to Sam Willmott and the 25th annual Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre librettist has been awarded to Sam Carner. The 2015 prizes were presented yesterday, June 22, 2015, in a private ceremony hosted by ASCAP and BMI at ASCAP. BroadwayWorld was there for the presentation and you can check out photos below!

Symphony Space's 2015 gala celebrated Broadway impresario Harold Prince with a star-studded musical tribute to the legendary 21 time Tony Award-winning producer/director on May 18, at Capitale. Danny Burstein hosted the evening, which featured performances by Kate Baldwin, Sierra Boggess, Santino Fontana, Jeremy Jordan, Ramin Karimloo, Norm Lewis,Rebecca Luker, Laura Osnes, and Chita Rivera.
