The current Broadway revival of Les Miserables, which opened in March 2014 and is scheduled to play through September 4th, celebrates its 1,000th performance today. The current revival has played more than twice as long as the 2006 revival, which closed after just 483 performances. The original 1987 production 6,680 performances and is the fifth-longest running production in Broadway history.

Inside Broadway's Executive Director Michael Presser has announced that on Thursday, June 2, the Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street) will be visited by thousands of NYC public school students as the non-profit theatre arts and education organization presents its popular program Creating the Magic. According to Inquirer, composer Claude-Michel Schonberg (LES MIS, MISS SAIGON) has claimed that the upcoming Manila Production of LES MIS will be 'an entirely different one, unlike anything you had seen before.' The production, which will be performing this March in Manila, will tour throughout Asia and celebrates the musical's 30th anniversary.
