According to Inquirer, composer Claude-Michel Schönberg (LES MIS, MISS SAIGON) has claimed that the upcoming Manila Production of LES MIS will be "an entirely different one, unlike anything you had seen before." The production, which will be performing this March in Manila, will tour throughout Asia and celebrates the musical's 30th anniversary.

Schönberg, who has a long-standing relationship with the people of the Philippines and adopted a Filipino female child (now 22), claimed about the country, "There was a lot of fire, there was war, and yet the people were singing. And the music was fantastic."

"Les Miserablés" creators - book writer and lyricist Alain Boublil, lyricist Herbert Kretzmer and composer and book writer Claude-Michel Schönberg - adapted Victor Hugo's novel of the same name into a musical masterpiece. Originally conceived and produced in France, it has been performed around the world, including performances in London's West End and on Broadway in New York. In 1987 the musical won eight Tony Awards for its actors and production, including Best Musical, and a GRAMMY Award for Best Musical Cast Show Album. The musical is now celebrating its 30th anniversary.
