Deadline reports that the sequel to Sony's critically-acclaimed animated super hero film 'Spider-Man: Into The Spider Verse' will be released on April 8, 2022.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Spider-Man will indeed return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Recently, Marvel and Sony stood at odds and announced that any Spider-Man films at the studio would be canceled; today, the companies returned to the table to strike a new deal.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony is developing a film around Madame Web, a Spider-Man character first introduced in the 1980s.

According to Deadline, Marvel announced a new original preschool animated series for Disney Junior, titled Marvel's Spidey and His Amazing Friends, during Disney's D23 Expo. Set to debut in 2021, the series will be the first full-length Marvel series for Disney Junior.

Deadline reports that a months-long standoff between representatives from Disney and Sony has ended with Kevin Feige and Marvel being removed from involvement in any future 'Spider-Man' films. Current Spider-Man Tom Holland and director Jon Watts still have two movies left in their contracts--those will proceed without Feige's involvement. 

Variety reports that 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' will be re-released. This time, it will include a new action sequence.

Sony Music proudly announces the release of SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) featuring original music by multiple Golden Globe nominee Daniel Pemberton. The soundtrack will be released digitally and on CD on December 17, 2018. Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animations' Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will debut in U.S. theaters on December 14.

According to Variety, actor/singer Jared Leto has signed on as the lead in the forthcoming SPIDER-MAN spinoff, titled MORBIUS. The film is set to be directed by Daniel Espinosa.
