BAAD! - The Bronx Academy of Arts & Dance forges forward with the 19th annual BAAD!ASS WOMEN FESTIVAL, celebrating the empowerment of women through art, culture and performance. 

Roady4Roadies are fun, family orientated events happening around the country on Sunday, 10 March (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth) and Sunday, 24 March (Adelaide).

Serving as dramaturg for Falling Out, a provocative new performance piece from the New York-based Phantom Limb Company, which has its world premiere this weekend at Nashville's OZ Arts, has been unlike any other project Janice Paran has ever worked on.

Lloyd Hutchinson, Nancy Meckler and Stephen Rea will curate an afternoon to celebrate the great American playwright and actor Sam Shepard who passed away in July last year. The event will take place on Monday 12 November at 3pm in the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs.

The Edangered Species (theatre) Project presents a fully staged reading of Diana of Dobson's by Cicely Hamilton. A Romantic Comedy of the 'Upstairs/Downstairs turned Upside-Down' variety. Playwright Cicely Hamilton was often compared to George Bernard Shaw and penned the lyrics to The Women's March. The production will play at the Centennial Memorial United Methodist Church on 8 West 2nd Street, in downtown Frederick, MD on October 14 at 4 p.m. and October 16 at 7 p.m.

Acclaimed classical Indian dance artists Ragamala Dance Company and preeminent dancer choreographer Malavika Sarukkai return to the Kennedy Center over two weekends in November with premieres of vibrant collaborative works.  While deeply rooted in the South Indian dance style Bharatanatyam, from which the artists are committed to preserve, each company uses unique contemporary approaches in their work to bridge the boundaries between ancient and modern cultures.

'Wonderful Losers: A Different World,” a documentary that focuses on the less public side of Giro d'Italia, one of the harshest and most prestigious cycling races in the world, will have its New York premiere on Saturday, October 20th at Scandinavia House. The screening will be followed by Q&A with the film's director, Ar?nas Matelis. Part of the first Baltic Film Festival taking place in New York City October 18-21, “Wonderful Losers” is Lithuania's official selection for best foreign-language film Oscar consideration.

The Echo Theater Company's west coast premiere of playwright Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' Pulitzer Prize-finalist GLORIA receives a sturdy mounting with a very capable cast handling the witty, words-heavy monologues. Plot centers on a group of lower-level publishing employees stuck (for various reasons) in their respective, non-upwardly mobile positions. GLORIA illustrates the various common office behaviors, such as back-stabbing, condescension, 'Mean Girl' insulting, and stressing out.

Andy Peterson (Music), Alex Giles (Book and Lyrics) and David Russell's (Original Concept, Book, and Lyrics) new musical makes its Australian Premiere at Depot Theatre.
