The Tybee Post Theater is slated to host “Lights Up: A Broadway Revue,” a performance by soprano Jessica Fishenfeld, mezzo-soprano Sara Zoe Budnik, baritone Trevor Martin and pianist Justin Addington. Join this dynamic vocal trio at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24 to celebrate the return of Broadway and live performances in the United States.

While midtown has a celebratory vibe and cheers of 'Broadway's Back!' ring with each new opening and re-opening, it is nice to go downtown, to a smaller, less gilded theater, and see a piece of art that is a bit grungier, less commercial, more experimental and edgy. NYTW's Sanctuary City perfectly scratches my Off-Broadway itch.

Live events continue to come back with protocols that, so far, don’t seem to be causing a widespread increase in cases. While the delta variant (and other variants of COVID-19) continues to cause uncertainty, it does appear that vaccine and mask mandates are holding steady as a safe approach to bringing audiences back in house.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley will resume in-person performances when it launches its previously announced 51st season, featuring eight plays and musicals presented October 2021 through August 2022, kicking off with the new indie folk-rock musical Lizard Boy.

Overcome with nostalgia, Marge decides to stage a revival of her high school musical, “Y2K: The Millennium Bug.” 

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is based on the 1954 Academy Award winning film starring Jane Powell and Howard Keel.  In 1978, Powell and Keel starred in The Muny theatrical premiere of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Next week, St. Louis’ Kendra Kassebaum will star as Milly Bradon in the sixth Muny production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. On Broadway, Kendra has starred as Glinda in Wicked, and originated the roles of Janice in Come From Away and Sam in Leap of Faith. She was last seen at The Muny in Guys and Dolls playing Miss Adelaide in 2019. BroadwayWorld had the opportunity to sit down with Kendra and talk about her return to The Muny and her career on the stage.

CampYATC Teacher Megan Hilty says, “The only thing I don’t like about YATC, is it wasn’t around when I was a teenager!” Having returned to YATC numerous times, working professionals like Hilty acting as Summer Camp Master Class teachers is just one of the things that sets this summer camp apart from many others. Hilty is just one of the amazing guest faculty teaching in the 20th Anniversary Season of The Young Actors’ Theatre Camp.
