Wicked (1st National Tour) - 2005 - US Tour

Winner of over 50 major awards including the Grammy Award and three Tony Awards, WICKED is the untold story of the witches of Oz. Long before Dorothy drops in, two other girls meet in the land of Oz.

One, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. WICKED tells the story of their remarkable odyssey, how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.

Declared "The Best Musical of the Decade" by Entertainment Weekly and "A Cultural Phenomenon" by Variety, WICKED is based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, has music and lyrics by

Stephen Schwartz, and a book by Winnie Holzman. The production is directed by Joe Mantello

with musical staging by Wayne Cilento.

Paper Mill Playhouse just announced the cast for its season opener, the premiere of a new Disney stage musical, Newsies. Revolutionary newsie Jack Kelly will be portrayed by Jeremy Jordan of Broadway's West Side Story and Rock of Ages. Tony® Award nominee John Dossett will play newspaper giant Joseph Pulitzer. The show begins performances on Thursday, September 15. The official press opening is scheduled for Sunday, September 25.

kef theatrical productions is has announced the complete design team for the upcoming partnership with Justin Brill (WICKED 1st national tour) to present a four week run of Steven Strafford's METHTACULAR! The production will run at the Playroom Theatre at 151 West 46th Street in New York beginning August 30th. The show is currently slated to run through September 23rd, performance schedule will be Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00, Sundays at 5:00 PM. Sebastian Arcelus returns to the role of Bob Gaudio in the Broadway cast of JERSEY BOYS tonight July 14th, 2009. Arcelus, who was most recently seen in the Lincoln Theater Center production of Happiness, replaces Andrew Rannells, who replaced him in the hit show at the August Wilson Theatre.
