BroadwayCon announces that the Tony Award-winning Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has joined the BroadwayCon 2019 MainStage lineup. The panel will feature cast members from the hit show. As previously announced, the thrilling work of multi-million selling author Peter James returns to theatres in January 2019 with the world premiere production of the spine-chilling stage play The House on Cold Hill - Adapted from his best-selling 2015 novel and based on the author's own real-life experience in a haunted house, the play will star the previously announced, BAFTA nominated actor and winner of BBC1's Strictly Come Dancing 2017, Joe McFadden (The Crow Road, Heartbeat, Holby City) as 'Ollie Harcourt' and joining him, as his wife 'Caro Harcourt', will be award winning actress Rita Simons, (who played the iconic Roxy Mitchell in Eastenders), as well as award winning actors, Charlie Clements ('Bradley' in EastEnders) as 'Chris', and Persephone Swales-Dawson (villainess 'Nico Blake' in Hollyoaks) as 'Jade', making her professional stage debut.

Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director), recipient of the Regional Theatre Tony Award in 2016, launches its 80th milestone season with The Color Purple, directed by Tony Award-winner John Doyle. The Color Purple is the Tony Award-winning musical revival based upon the novel written by Alice Walker and the Warner Bros./Amblin Entertainment motion picture with a book by Marsha Norman and music and lyrics by Brenda Russell, Allee Willis, and Stephen Bray. Cast members from the 2015 Broadway revival lead the Paper Mill Playhouse company, including Adrianna Hicks (Aladdin, Sister Act - Germany) as Celie, Carla R. Stewart (Ghost - National Tour, Rent - Regional) as Shug Avery and Carrie Compere (Holler If You Hear Me, Shrek the Musical - National Tour) as Sofia.

California Pops Announces 30th Season At Flint Center

California Pops Orchestra, the country's only all-request pops orchestra, announces its 30th performance season. Conductor Kim Venaas and the 70 members of the Orchestra present five fun-loving performances at Cupertino's Flint Center, adding their signature playfulness, audience engagement, and surprise elements to the mix.  The new season runs September 30, 2018 through May 19, 2019.  All performances are held Sundays at 3pm, at Flint Center at De Anza College, 21250 Stevens Creek Blvd in Cupertino.  Season subscriptions ($260-$92) and individual show tickets ($20-$55, standard ticket service fees apply), are available at Ticketmaster.com (https://www.ticketmaster.com/artist/2260227?tm_link=tm_homeA_header_search) or in person at the Flint Center box office.
