Broadway veteran, Edward Watts will star as El Gallo in The Link Theatre's inaugural production of Tom Jonesand Harvey Schmidt's The Fantasticks. Watts previously played the role for more than 1,000 performances in the Off-Broadway production in New York City. The first professional theatre company in Northeast Arkansas, The Link is a new non-profit theater company located in Jonesboro, AR. Broadway veteran Matt Cavenaugh will direct the musical, which will play for three nights only starting Friday, March 6, 2020 at The Glass Factory (313 W Huntington Avenue, Jonesboro, AR). Watts replaces the previously announced Ben Davis who had to exit the production due to conflicts with his shooting schedule.

New York Live Arts' (Live Arts) Live Feed creative residency and commissioning program presents the world premiere of light and desire, a new evening-length work by the NYC-based dancemaker and professor Colleen Thomas, featuring an ensemble of acclaimed international female performers and artmakers. The piece - anchored by a short film by the award-winning filmmaker Carla Forte - looks at how women artists cope under unjust and manipulative power structures. light and desire will be presented at New York Live Arts Studio (219 W 19th Street, New York, NY 10011) from Wednesday, March 25th through Saturday, March 28th; all performances at 7:30 pm.

Lesley Joseph will join the cast for the UK and Ireland tour of the smash-hit musical, a?oeSISTER ACTa??. The show will open on 21 April 2020 at Leicester Curve and will visit Leeds, Newcastle, Sheffield and Manchester. Since it went on sale Sister Act The Musical starring Whoopi Goldberg and Jennifer Saunders has broken all on sale records for a run at the Eventim Apollo having already sold over 95,000 tickets so far for the five week run. Ovation, America's only arts network, announced today their full slate of holiday programming for winter 2019. Starting Monday, December 9, the arts network will begin airing holiday films as well as special holiday episodes from such series as The Art Of, Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, The Librarians, Travel Man, and Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries.
