La Jolla Playhouse has revealed the dates and projects for its 2023 DNA New Work Series, running November 30 – December 10.

Funny Girl gets a Brazilian production directed by Barchilon, starring Giulia Nadruz and Eriberto Leao as protagonists. With score by J. Styne, and lyrics by B. Merrill, the semi-biographical plot is based on the life and career of comedian and Broadway star Fanny Brice, featuring her stormy relationship with entrepreneur and gambler Nick Arnstein.

Amber Iman, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Annie Golden and more will be featured in Williamstown Theatre Festival's Fridays@3 reading series.

Brothers Osborne recently won “Duo of The Year” at the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards. This marks their fourth win in the category, and their seventh ACM Award overall. Said John Osborne about their win, “I love the country music community. We’re the luckiest people in the world.”

Grimsby native, Evangeline Henderson, and Sugar Punch bring the world of immersive theatre to Grimsby with a story about its forgotten heritage, the families of fishermen and trawlers that made it.

Disney+ greenlights feature-length music docu-special “Bono & The Edge: A Sort of Homecoming, with Dave Letterman,” in which Academy Award-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville captures Dave Letterman on his first visit to Dublin to hang out with Bono and The Edge in their hometown, experience Dublin, and join the two U2 musicians for a concert.

On December 6th, songwriter and producer Sam Hollander will release his new book, 21 Hit Wonder, Flopping My Way To The Top Of The Charts on BenBella Books Inc., a true story about his adventures in songwriting.  In addition, Hollander will couple the release with a college speaking tour (dates below) and donating 100% of his proceeds to the charity Musicians On Call.

Cody Estle will step down as Raven Theatre's Artistic Director at the end of November 2022, after serving as the company’s artistic leader since 2017. Estle will join Milwaukee’s Next Act Theatre as Artistic Director.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre announced the full cast and creative team for the world premiere musical, Goddess. The musical stage production is conceived and directed by Saheem Ali, music and lyrics by Michael Thurber, and written by Jocelyn Bioh. Previews begin Saturday, August 13, and the show runs through Sunday, September 25.

Berkshire Theatre Group and Kate Maguire have announced casting for shows in BTG’s Early Summer 2022 Season. The full season will feature B.R.O.K.E.N code B.I.R.D switching, a world premiere play and recipient of an NEA Grants for Arts Projects Award and more.

Due to popular demand, Raven Theatre’s Chicago premiere of The Luckiest has added one additional week of performances, extending through Sunday, June 26, 2022 on Raven’s 85-seat East Stage, 6157 N. Clark St. (at Granville) in Chicago.

Ana Nogueira is a multi-talented writer and actor whose current and upcoming work includes everything from a world premiere Off-Broadway play, to feature films, and a role on the small screen. Ana's play WHICH WAY TO THE STAGE, now in previews at MCC Theater, will officially open on Tuesday May 10 for a limited engagement through May 22, 2022.

The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) kicks off May with The Blue Danube on Thursday May 5 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 7 at 8 p.m. in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre. Music Director Andreas Delfs leads a program about beginnings and endings, featuring a World Premiere by acclaimed composer and recent Latin Grammy winner Roberto Sierra: Violin Concerto, a la memoria de una niña valiente, performed by Concertmaster Juliana Athayde (The Caroline W. Gannett & Cayla Ward Chair). 

One of the longest-running and most successful musicals of all time, the trio playing the iconic leads will be Melbourne-born Joshua Robson as The Phantom, Brisbane performer Georgina Hopson as Christine and acclaimed West End and Broadway musical theatre performer Callum Francis as Raoul Vicomte de Chagny.

Vineyard Theatre Artistic Directors Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern, and actor-playwright-director-producer Colman Domingo have announced that Reggie D. White will be the second recipient of the Colman Domingo Award.

An enchanted evening it sure was for those lucky enough to get to see the revival of South Pacific at the Vivian Beaumont Theater at Lincoln Center.
