The Cape Playhouse, the longest-running professional summer theater in the country, is set to kick off its 2023 Summer season with the popular Fats Waller musical and Tony Award winning show, AIN'T MISBEHAVIN'. 

The Cleveland Orchestra has announced its full lineup of classical music concerts for its 2023 Blossom Music Festival. The festival, located at Blossom Music Center in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, runs from July 1 to September 9, and features 24 concerts. 

Internationally-acclaimed artist Gunhild Carling has released her new album, 'Good Evening Cats!' She shows off her multilingual abilities on this spectacular record, which features original songs and classic favorites in English, French, and German. Guest artists include Grammy-nominated Billy Stritch, her daughter Idun Carling, Daniel Glass, Steve Doyle, Jason Bellenkes, and her sister Nanna Carling.

The Mississippi Museum of Art (MMA) will present Maude Schuyler Clay: Portraits of a Place, an exhibition of nearly 100 photographic works by the artist from the early 1980s to the present, including intimate family portraits, still-life images of fruit, haunting landscapes, and glass plate images taken by Clay’s grandfather, Joseph Albert May. Judge May was a photo hobbyist and influence on Clay’s career.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic is presenting a summer of jazz, funk, blues, and more at the Hollywood Bowl and The Ford. Upcoming performances include a tribute to Peggy Lee and Frank Sinatra at the Hollywood Bowl (July 27), Les Claypool’s Bastard Jazz at The Ford (July 29), and many more.

Battery Dance celebrates the 40th Anniversary of its free summer festival from August 12-20, 2021, in partnership with Battery Park City Authority. The 40th Annual Battery Dance Festival features 16 international dance films from August 12-14 at 7pm ET via YouTube. 40 in-person and livestreamed performances will be staged at Robert F. Wagner, Jr. Park, New York City, from August 15-20 at 7pm ET. In total, 32 premieres by 53 dance companies are offered to international audiences, promoting Battery Dance’s mission of connecting the world through dance.
