Asolo Repertory Theatre is presenting the world premiere of the new musical KNOXVILLE. The project reunites Frank Galati, Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, the Tony Award-winning creative team behind Broadway's Ragtime.

The new song features the musical talents of modern southern rock icons Charlie Starr, Britt Turner and Richard Turner of Blackberry Smoke and was produced by Georgia's own, Brent Cobb. The neo-traditional country singer and songwriter has announced the “Craig Campbell Tour, by God.” The 11-city tour kicks off March 4 in Franklin, OH, and the first leg wraps in Indianapolis April 9. Special guest Styles Haury will join Campbell on the first four dates. Craig wrote “by God” with Thomas Archer and Jordan Walker.

Quivering Dendrites will present Tomatoes Tried To Kill Me But Banjos Saved My Life written by Keith Alessi and directed by Erika Conway. The production will be presented as part of the 2022 FRIGID Festival at The Kraine Theatre.

Named for the groundbreaking African American contralto, the Marian Anderson Vocal Award recognizes a young American singer in opera, oratorio, or recital repertoire with outstanding promise for a significant career. Earlier this year, Washington National Opera (WNO) named tenor Frederick Ballentine as the 2021 recipient and will present him in concert on Tuesday, December 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater.
