Moya Angela (America's Got Talent star and current Effie in the West End Dreamgirls) sang the Dolly Parton and Whitney Houston classic 'I Will Always Love You' at West End Live Lounge last month.

To celebrate a new cast and its second year in the West End, Sonia Friedman Productions has today released brand new production photography for the critically acclaimed, multi award-winning musical Dreamgirls at the Savoy Theatre in London, which is currently booking through to 2nd June 2018.

Marisha Wallace is taking over the role of Effie White, alongside Moya Angela and Karen May, in the West End Dreamgirls from 20 November, after being one of the Effie alternates. She's also performing two London concerts at Charing Cross Theatre on 3 December to celebrate the release of her debut album, Soul Holiday.

Sonia Friedman Productions' UK premiere of Dreamgirls, which opened last December at the Savoy Theatre is currently running through 2nd June 2018 in the West End. From 20th November 2017, Moya Angela will join Marisha Wallace and Karen Mav to play the iconic role of Effie White in Dreamgirls. In the video below, go backstage with the show's new Effies!

DREAMGIRLS is a musical documenting the blood, sweat, and tears of a struggling girls group rise to the top of the charts and the positive/negative effects of showbiz mixed with some brilliant vocals.

The hit West End revival of Dreamgirls is rumoured to be heading over to Broadway next year. In the meantime, fans on both sides of the pond can be content with this excellent double-CD cast album. Recorded live at London's Savoy Theatre, complete with audience reaction (rapturous during 'And I Am Telling You…'), it's a strong approximation of a thrilling theatre experience.
